Included Filter Media
Biological - sintered quartz bio-rings help establish a biological balance in your aquarium. They provide a macroporous surface for the cultivation of beneficial bacterial colonies.

Mechanical - a fine mechanical sponge traps the smallest particulates, while a more porous coarse sponge captures larger debris. The result is polished, crystal clear water.

Chemical - an optional activated carbon pad eliminates discoloration, odors, and other pollutants for a healthier and more attractive aquarium (carbon pad sold separately).
